Common questions

Questions families ask

Yes. Our medical care is bulk billed for eligible residents, with no out-of-pocket costs for standard GP services in the facility. The only exception is when a family asks for additional services beyond what we ordinarily provide.

Our office is in Ballina, NSW. Our GPs currently visit residential aged care facilities across South East Queensland, with Northern NSW coverage expanding as we address the regional shortage of aged care GPs.

When a resident moves into aged care, we become their attending GP — their previous community GP generally cannot continue seeing them in the facility. To keep their care safe and continuous, we arrange a full handover of their medical record from the existing GP; most clinical software can send us the complete chart electronically. We then coordinate closely with families and facility staff from there.

Your GP visits the resident on-site, reviews their history and medications, and builds a structured care plan with the care team — the foundation for proactive, ongoing care.

Our GPs generally visit weekly, though this can change with clinical need and the facility’s arrangements.

Most facilities have established arrangements with after-hours GP services for out-of-hours care. During our ward rounds and in business hours, we’re available to nursing staff for urgent clinical advice.

If we already attend your facility, send an enquiry below or email us and we’ll respond within two business days. If we don’t yet visit your facility, the facility needs to engage us first — so ask them to get in touch with us, and we’ll arrange onboarding from there.

Still have a question? Send an enquiry or email us.
